A "Health and Safety File" is also known as a "Safety File"
It is a record of information which focuses on health and safety management on various sites
Includes that of construction sites, where both contractors and sub-contractors are concerned

Is it a legal requirement?
Every contractor and sub-contractor is required,
By the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 and the Construction Regulations 2014, to have a Health and Safety File that must be available at all times.
